About the Play

Drama. 10 minutes. 2 females, plus possible extras. Suitable for high school and older (or possibly advanced middle school performers).

First produced by the Looking Glass Theatre (New York, NY).

Synopsis

Two young girls from opposite ends of the social spectrum find themselves thrown together by their parents, and popular Lily is strangely envious of freaky Amber’s free-spirited equanimity. Then Lily learns Amber’s secret, something that means she is extraordinarily gifted, or flat-out crazy, or both.  Friends explores the angst of adolescence—where a little of the magic of childhood still survives.
