Synopsis
Frederic has been apprenticed to a band of pirates—through an error on the part of his nurse maid—until his 21st birthday. Despite the circumstances, he has done his best to serve the pirates, because he is a "slave to duty." But the time is at hand for him to leave. When he arrives on shore and falls in love with the beautiful daughter of a Major-General only to find that his duty to the pirates may not be as over as he thought, hilarity and chaos ensue in this refreshing update that finds new fun while preserving the jokes and music that have made this musical a classic.
