Go Solo, Volume 2: More Contemporary Monologues for Young Actors

by The Playwrights of YouthPLAYS

About The Book

Our second Go Solo collection brings with it more than six dozen choices running the gamut from serious to comedic, monologues of varying lengths and pieces not just for high-school-aged teens but strong options for younger teens and college-aged performers, too. You'll also find more monologues written by authors of color depicting BIPOC characters and more pieces for performers of any gender and non-binary performers. However, even as YouthPLAYS has evolved, what hasn't changed is our belief in the power of the monologue. Whether it moves an audience to tears, leaves them laughing or makes them think, a monologue offers a single actor a singular opportunity to take us on a journey with them. Join us—find the piece that speaks to you and allows you to speak through it.
