Two young girls from opposite ends of the social spectrum find themselves thrown together by their parents, and popular Lily is strangely envious of freaky Amber’s free-spirited equanimity. Then Lily learns Amber’s secret, something that means she is extraordinarily gifted, or flat-out crazy, or both. Friends explores the angst of adolescence—where a little of the magic of childhood still survives.
