Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Sarah grows up in the 1960s with cerebral palsy and just wants to be like everybody else.  But between the mean girls at her boarding school and her cold and distant mother, she has given up on happiness.  Then one day Sarah is given a half-starved Morgan horse who needs her as much as she needs him.  Based on a true story, Crossing the Threshold is a moving and often comic play about one girl's fight to be whole, and the transcendental power of friendship.
