Etiwanda High School (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). Shiloh is a talented artist. Yes, he marches to the beat of his own drum, but did his mother really need to request a psychiatric evaluation? When he's called to the school counselor’s office to get his results, "normal" will never be the same. While deeply frustrated counselor Dr. James searches for new reservoirs of patience as Shiloh's divorced parents bicker back and forth, Shiloh sits back and watches his plan unfold. Little do the authority figures know that today they're merely puppets on a string, unwittingly playing their parts in his “big surprise…” Purple Cows Do Exist is part screwball coming of age comedy, part study of the relationship between youth and adults, seen through the eyes of a teenage underdog who's still got a few cards left to play.
