Synopsis

A heartfelt memory tale that follows the story of young Josefina and her brother Ignacio’s journey from Mexico to the United States after the Mexican revolution. The play explores what it means to leave one land in search of another, and the value in maintaining ties to our past. Based on true Mexican family tales, Cuentos de Josefina (Josephine’s Tales) weaves together a series of stories that can be told with various theatrical devices, including story theatre, movement, music, shadow and puppetry.
